It's all about texture my friends.
From the beginning I knew I wanted to make functional pottery. I mean, pottery on a shelf is pretty, but I would rather be able to use it.
So the question became, how can I make my pottery functional and pretty? The answer was texture.
Texture is fun because it gives you something to look at; something to feel and it gives each pot a more interesting dimension. I am constantly looking for new textures to incorporate into my work.
An everyday pot no longer has to be boring!
Finally, all my wares are completely functional, meaning, I use lead-free glazes and all pots are dishwasher safe.
